My first attempt at 'Blessing the enemy" was very interesting!

I took time to relax, do blessing breathing and so on and then one by one started going through people who I had had conflict with - both recently and in the past. This seemed to be going quite well, I just took my time and continued on with person after person coming before me, forming the light connection, smiling and inwardly thinking 'I bless you and let you go."

So far so good. The incidents I was remembering were quite minor and the process relatively simple.
Suddenly there appeared before me a person who had in the past done a great deal of harm to myself and our family- whether by accident or design I remain unsure. How could I have 'forgotten' this person until now!
With a noticable effort I prepared to go through the blessing process.
Oh my it was so much more difficult. I kept losing focus and the light deflected off the 'target heart' as if there was a force field. oh dear!

Eventually I managed to open my heart enough to complete the process and experienced a feeling of relief.

At that point I became aware of many little red boxes floating on the river- just as I had 'sent my anger away' in the bigger red box it was as if each individual I had blessed had left behind the anger I had once directed towards them.
The little boxes bobbed merrily on the river- it was like a field of poppies!
gradually they floated away were caught in faster currents and swept away out of sight.

I am looking forward to continuing this experiment and reading about others experiences.

Anji,

Good morning and blessings to you from my heart to yours.  Thank you so much for your post.  I have been struggling myself with "blessing the enemy" in some situations.  It seems as though some "negative" situations are easier for me to bless than others.  While I am aware of the process, can see the event or person, can say the words, the "feeling" just isn't in my heart. It is mainly with current events big and small rather than past events.  And it seems to only be on certain days.  I haven't stopped to notice where I am at emotionally or what is going on on those days that it is more difficult. Your shared experience was a gift to me for two reasons.  One, it helped me to feel not so alone in my "struggles" and experiences and two, it gave me some other ideas and things to try to work through this and hope that if I stay with it it will come. I especially like your vision of the red boxes being carried by the stream.  Thank you!

Thank you Tara- for taking the time to share. Its great to know we are not alone with our experiences and its great to have a like minded commmunity here to share these new ideas and 'experiments'.
